If you’ve met Michael, you’d never forget him! He has an infectious laugh, and is ALWAYS wearing a smile.

And Laurel. I just recently met her, but her sweetness exudes from her hair follicles. seriously. if you stand too close to her, it just gets all over you. You cannot help but fall in love with her!

They’re getting married this June, and I am blessed to be able to photograph their wedding. If the wedding is any indication of the engagement session, it’s going to be a BLAST!
We made a few photos just outside the studio. Here’s a few:

Check out Laurel’s expression in this one.

and then we went over to the Bay. I wanted a nice gulf sunset, and fortunately this little area is only about a half mile from the studio.

And some more romance:

He stopped laughing only long enough to go all “Twilight” on her neck.
And of course, we have to have the silhouettes.

After these, we went back to the studio and finished up inside.

Michael & Laurel – I had a great time! Your wedding is going to be a smashing success!
Love, Ruth

This is Emma. Do you think she practiced a little? or maybe she’s just destined for the red carpet?

Cooper was funny. Mom “bribed” him with candy. THEN he was all smiles!!

It was a beautiful, sunny day on Saturday.
Perfect for a wedding on the Gulf.
I got there plenty early enough – even before Matt arrived.
He’s cool in his shades.

…and then the guests started to arrive.
This particular little girl, as adorable as she looked,
had a little secret…
oops. I don’t think she wants anyone to know.
Anyway. Back to our wedding.
Matt, in his finery, awaiting his bride.
There’s more in the slideshow. you’ll have to watch to fill in the blanks. Click here to go see it. Wait. Read the rest of this post first, then go see it!
They said their “I do’s,” and then off to celebrate.
Thumbs up, Matt! You done good!
Now, I’m not saying this is what Matt was REALLY thinking, but it was one of MY favorite memories of the day.
“oh. wow. I … did … it …”
Is this a FINE looking couple, or what?
And then we went to the reception at Edgewater, and they had their first dance…
And their first meal as husband and wife…
And their first cake smashing…wait. see that white blob under Matt’s tuxedo shirt cuff? It looks like Elizabeth has successfully thwarted Matt’s attempt. No first cake smashing after all.
Okay, what’s wrong with this picture? During the garter toss, the men usually come reluctantly, as if the outcome of this little tradition will effect the rest of their night. Or life. I dunno. Anyway, not ONE of them with their hands ready to grasp the garter which was flung in their direction!
Now the GIRLS, on the other hand. They’re ready. One of the bridesmaids not only caught the boquet, but was showered with rose petals as a reward for her good catch.
Matt, desiring a moment alone with his beauty, stepped outside with Elizabeth. (with me looking on, of course.)
And the end of the night.
Well, almost. All I’m saying is that Elizabeth is going to GET you groomsmen when she gets home from Jamaica! You guys might want to start thinking of ways to kiss up to her now.
Happy honeymoon, Matt & Elizabeth. and a very happy life!
