If you’ve met Michael, you’d never forget him! He has an infectious laugh, and is ALWAYS wearing a smile.

And Laurel. I just recently met her, but her sweetness exudes from her hair follicles. seriously. if you stand too close to her, it just gets all over you. You cannot help but fall in love with her!

They’re getting married this June, and I am blessed to be able to photograph their wedding. If the wedding is any indication of the engagement session, it’s going to be a BLAST!

We made a few photos just outside the studio. Here’s a few:

Local Photographer Participates in National Model Search

Panama City, Florida—March 10th, 2009 – Local photographer, Ruth Berry of Ruth Berry Photography, is participating in the National Charity Model Search to select “America’s Cutest Kid” and to raise funds for charity.

Participating photographers will submit portraits of local children, ages 18 months to 14 years, for online voting to determine the city finalist. The child voted city finalist may elect to serve as a model during the 2009 Sandy Puc′ Tots 2 Teens Seminar Tour at a city near their home.

City finalists are determined by online votes. Anyone may vote. Each vote is $1, and all proceeds from each vote benefit Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep (NILMDTS.org). Photography and modeling industry experts will determine the contest’s national winner. The national model winner receives many prizes, including a $5,000 US Savings Bond and a Canon PowerShot G10 digital camera.

Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep (NILMDTD), is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization committed to assisting parents and families going through the difficult time when they experience an early infant loss. NILMDTS connects families with photographers and provides them with a DVD and a reproducible CD of the images of their baby at no cost to the family. For further information on NILMDTS, visit their website at www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org.

Sandy Puc′, Model Search organizer, has long believed charitable work is the backbone of the community. She created this contest to highlight excellence in the portrait photography industry as well as raise funds for NILMDTS, and organization she co-founded in 2005.

Parents who want to enter their children in the contest may do so by calling Ruth Berry Photography at 850-271-9114. Photography sessions are limited, and only available until March 21st, 2009.

Ruth Berry has been a professional photographer practicing in the Panama City area since 1991.

Sophie’s Album

oh geez. I got all teary eyed when I finished this album yesterday.

Belinda, Sophie’s mom dropped by yesterday. I finished putting together little Sophie’s baby album. I cannot believe how much she has grown! She is such a little princess now!!

I remember when Belinda first came to the studio with her. She held her so tenderly. I remember the awe in Belinda’s face – not just her eyes, her whole face. Belinda spoke a lot without saying a word. She is indeed a blessed woman! The first photograph in her album is still one of my very favorites!

As many of you know, we welcomed our little grandson, Ethan, into the world on Sunday, January 25, 2009. He’s a beautiful little man!

I am so proud of my daughter and son-in-law! Even on such a lack of sleep, they’ve really proven to be excellent parents!

I thank God for my healthy, beautiful grandson! I can’t wait to see him grow and learn about our world!

So here’s what the Special Announcement is all about.

I’m so full of gratitude. I’m truly grateful for every healthy child I see. It has surprised me how full my heart is to see healthy, beautiful children.

So full that I want to show you.

Here’s the deal. In about a week, Valentine’s day will be here.

My gift to some special family will be a $500 gift certificate for studio photography of their child. Photography session will be at my studio in Panama City, Florida.

The rules are simple.

1. Leave a comment on this blog post. One comment per person, please, unless you obtain extra entries outlined below. When you have extra entries, leave additional comments on this blog post. Only blog post comments will be eligible for the drawing.

Winner will be chosen with a random number generator, and announced on Valentine’s Day.
